The excavation of the site began in 1749 and continues today, revealing three magnificent villas with beautiful frescoes and mosaics. The tour starts at Villa San Marco, one of the largest Roman villas with well-preserved features such as the entrance hall, kitchens, garden with a swimming pool, frescoed rooms, and a thermal district. Visitors will then be transferred to Villa Arianna, the oldest villa with a large painting of Ariadne abandoned by Theseus. The tour includes a walk through the garden, decorated rooms, and a thermal area. Languages available for the tour include English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, and Danish. Rates for the guided tour are €180 for a private group of up to 15 people of all ages, with a duration of 2 hours. Transportation and meals are not included in the tour, so it is recommended to bring water and wear closed shoes for exploring the archaeological site.
