Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the Giant Sequoias on a 2.5-mile hike along an historic stagecoach road. Get up close to 1000-year-old Giant Sequoias, walk through a tunnel tree, and crawl through a fallen giant while learning about the history and ecology of these incredible trees. After the hike, relax at a riverside beach for swimming and a cookout. This moderate hike covers a total of 3 miles, starting at 6000 feet elevation and descending 400-500 feet in 1 mile. The group tour is not recommended for children under 8, but custom private adventures are available for all ages. Points of interest include the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias and a riverside cookout with hotdogs, chips, fruit, and dessert. Included in the adventure are a local and experienced guide, transportation from multiple locations along Highway 120, National Park Entrance Fee, commemorative Echo Camp Cup, filtered water, first aid and emergency equipment. Participants are advised to bring layered clothing, a daypack, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, insect repellent, camera, binoculars, hiking boots/shoes, and a swimsuit. Rates range from $150 to $850 per person, with easy cancellation options available.
