Rates for the tour are $55 per person on weekdays and $65 on weekends, with a total duration of 2 hours, including approximately 1.5 hours on the water. Group sizes may affect setup, instruction, and checkout times. The tour offers a unique opportunity to access and appreciate the globally significant wetlands of Door County, only possible through kayaking. No prior experience is necessary, as Red Cross-trained instructors will provide introductory lessons before launching from Mud Lake Preserve. The area boasts a variety of habitats, including upland hardwood forest and lowland cedar-hemlock forest, with stunning displays of wildflowers in the Spring.
