Join us on a culinary adventure as we learn how to cook Hungarian style in our downtown wine cellar. Led by a professional chef, you will have the opportunity to prepare and enjoy a full Hungarian meal with wine pairings. Throughout the four-hour class, you will taste six different Hungarian wines and learn about Hungarian culinary traditions, cooking techniques, and flavor combinations. The cooking class begins with a glass of pálinka and local cheese and charcuterie as you discuss the menu with the chef. You will start by preparing an appetizer paired with a glass of rosé, followed by cooking a traditional main course such as chicken or veal paprikás. A side dish and dessert, like palacsinta or Emperor’s Crumbs, will also be prepared. The class is casual, allowing you to participate as much or as little as you’d like while enjoying the process of creating a delicious meal. Rates for the cooking class are $145 per person, and the duration is four hours. This unique experience offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about Hungarian cuisine and wine in a fun and interactive setting.
