Experience a popular camping trip with low daily mileage, perfect for a 3-day fishing or paddle camp adventure. The trip includes the rental of a boat, paddles, life jackets, safety orientation, river maps, dry bags, water jugs, access to private land for camping, and all necessary shuttles. Starting at the shop in Buchanan, the journey flows downstream, offering a scenic and enjoyable experience for outdoor enthusiasts. On Day 1, paddle 6.5 miles from Buchanan to Arcadia, camping at Arcadia campground. Day 2 consists of a 9.5-mile paddle from Arcadia to Back Run Campground, with Day 3 covering 6 miles from Back Run campground to Glasgow public boat landing. The trip features stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, great fishing opportunities, refreshing swimming holes, and ideal camping spots along the way. With numerous rapids suitable for canoes filled with camping gear, participants can enjoy the thrill of navigating the river. The adventure concludes in Glasgow at the public boat landing, requiring a 700-foot portage back to the parking lot from the boat ramp. Take-out times are fixed at either 11 AM or 3 PM. For groups with their own boats, modifications can be made to pick up the group in Glasgow, allowing them to paddle back to their vehicles parked in the Glasgow lot. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
