Adventure Details
"The Nellie" is a private yurt overlooking Grant Lake in Moose Pass, Alaska, offering a self-supported primitive adventure experience. Guests must be comfortable with backcountry travel, kayaking in cold water, camping, and hiking in bear country. The yurt can accommodate up to 5 people and features bunks, a handmade spruce table, and basic amenities for a cozy stay. Access to the yurt requires boating to the trailhead, with boat transportation across Trail Lake not included in the rental. Guests have access to kayaks for paddling around Grant Lake during their stay. The yurt is named after Alaska Nellie, a legendary pioneer who once called the wilderness home, and guests are encouraged to find inspiration from her trailblazing spirit. Camp amenities include river expedition-style camp mattresses, a covered camp kitchen area with a Coleman stove, cooking utensils, kayaks for exploring Grant Lake, a wood stove for heating, and a bear box. Guests are advised to bring personal items like a sleeping bag, propane for the stove, utensils, water or a water filter, and a sense of adventure. Damage Deposit
Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental. This damage deposit secures the host if the boat is damaged during your rental. The damage deposit must be taken from the same card that the booking was made on. Questions?
