Participants in this boat adventure will spend three to four hours in their boat learning to roll in a protected pond environment. The goal of the clinic is to teach novice to intermediate paddlers how to roll, with a focus on perfecting technique and applying it to moving water and whitewater situations. The clinic covers various rolling techniques, including the c-to-c and modified sweep roll, tailored to each individual's needs. To prepare for the clinic, participants are advised to stretch their thighs, hamstrings, and torso to increase flexibility and improve strokes. The clinic is suitable for those with prior rolling practice and is designed for individuals aged 14 and older. The low student-to-instructor ratio ensures personalized attention and a flexible teaching approach that accommodates different body types. Participants are required to wear secure footwear such as sneakers, and are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and water conditions. Zoar Outdoor provides all necessary paddling gear, including wetsuits, life jackets, helmets, and paddles. A catered picnic-style lunch is provided on full-day clinics, and guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions are advised to bring their own lunch in non-glass containers.
