The Smart Start Kayaking Course is a 3-hour introduction to paddling a kayak, focusing on foundational skills and safety to ensure confidence on flatwater. Whether you are a first-time paddler or have some experience, this course will help you develop good habits and skills to enhance your learning curve. Self-rescue techniques are also covered, ensuring that you are comfortable being on the water. Included in the course is a kayak, paddle, and PFD, allowing you to try out a kayak free of charge. This is beneficial for beginners who are still figuring out which kayak suits them best. If you already own a kayak, it is recommended to bring it along, but our kayaks may be provided if yours is deemed unsafe for the class. The focus is on learning and getting comfortable with your equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Participants are advised to dress appropriately for the weather, bring drinking water, and have sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and long sleeves. These items will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the water. Whether you are new to kayaking or looking to improve your skills, this course will provide a solid foundation for future adventures on the water. - Develop good habits and foundation skills of kayaking - Learn self-rescue techniques for safety on the water - Dress appropriately for the weather and bring sun protection for a comfortable experience.
Damage Deposit
Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
