Embark on an unforgettable private waterfall tour on the Big Island of Hawaii, visiting iconic waterfalls in the North Hilo area, including stops at Wailuku River State Park and Akaka Falls State Park. Experience a private waterfall location where you can swim, kayak, and paddle-board, all while taking in the rugged and beautiful Hamakua coast. Explore Historic Downtown Hilo and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant along the Hilo coast. If you prefer to skip the private waterfall location, other destinations such as Hawai'i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden, Hilo Farmers Market, and Richardson's Black Sand Beach can be visited instead. Guided interpretation throughout the day will provide insights into the natural wonders, endemic wildlife, and rich cultural history of the area. The adventure begins at 9:00am at the Hilo Cruise Ship Terminal and lasts for 7 hours, with guests being picked up and dropped off at the terminal unless otherwise arranged. Included in your reservation are gear such as a Patagonia Rain Jacket and Nikon ProStaff binoculars, as well as lunch and snacks. Admission to all venues and parks, as well as a fully guided naturalist tour with educational commentary, is provided.
