Rent a kayak or SUP and enjoy a self-guided paddle along the Museum Reach, the northernmost part of the San Antonio River Walk. This 2-mile flat-water trip is ideal for beginners and families, with art installations such as F.I.S.H and The Grotto to admire along the way. Rental price includes equipment, but parking is not included. Children under 8 must be in a tandem kayak with an adult, while those over 8 can have their own kayak. No children under 13 are allowed on SUPs. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign waivers and be fitted for a life jacket. Restrooms are not available at the location, with the closest ones at the Pearl Brewery. Intoxicated individuals will not be allowed on the water, and alcohol is not permitted while paddling. City maintenance barges and the Go Rio river taxi have the right of way, so kayakers must move to the side against the concrete walls for safety. Life jackets must be worn at all times, and cancellations are possible due to weather conditions.
