For groups with children under 6, Captain Bob's Excellent Adventure is recommended. The adventure begins at 8:15 am and ends at 5:15 pm, departing from the Courtyard by Marriott at the Dolphin Mall in Doral, just west of Miami. Guests are advised to bring sunscreen and water for the day trip. Lunch, rain ponchos, and mosquito repellent are provided as part of the package. Roundtrip transportation from the greater Fort Lauderdale areas is also included. Each Everglades Day Safari includes a nature walk, a scenic boat cruise into the Ten Thousand Islands mangrove forest in Everglades National Park, a wildlife drive through Big Cypress National Preserve, and an exhilarating airboat ride through sawgrass prairies and pond apple forests.
