Host Cancellation: If a Host cancels an accepted rental before the rental commencement, the Renter shall be refunded all sums paid to WetRentals for the rental. The host will be debited the Transaction Fee and any taxes WetRentals has already remitted to a taxing authority prior to the cancellation.

Renter Cancellation: If the Renter cancels an accepted rental before it begins, WetRentals will issue a “Cancellation Refund” to the Renter, as detailed below. The Transaction Fee and any applicable taxes collected by WetRentals, and already remitted to the taxing authority, will not automatically be refunded. The Cancellation Refund amount is determined by the Host's cancellation policy, as outlined in the Renter's separate rental agreement with the Host, which will adhere to one of the following policies chosen by the Host:

Flexible

• 100% refund if cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the rental commencement.
• 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours of the rental commencement.

Moderate

• 100% refund if cancelled more than 7 days prior to the rental commencement.
• 75% refund if cancelled less than 7 days but more than 48 hours prior to the rental commencement.
• 50% refund if cancelled less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours prior to the rental commencement.

Strict

• 75% refund if cancelled more than 7 days prior to the rental commencement.
• 50% refund if cancelled less than 7 days but more than 48 hours prior to the rental commencement.
• 25% refund if cancelled less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours prior to the rental commencement.

General Cancellation Terms: If the Renter's separate rental agreement with the Host does not specify a cancellation policy or if it differs from the options provided, the "Strict" cancellation policy will apply. Renters are also subject to any additional cancellation terms in the terms of each listing. In case of a conflict, the terms herein will prevail.

Owner Cancellation Fees:

• Transactions under $100: $5 fee + Transaction Fee
• Transactions over $100 but under $250: $20 fee + Transaction Fee
• Transactions over $250: $50 fee + Transaction Fee

Hosts will incur these cancellation fees on their next successful rental through WetRentals or directly from their bank account. If a Host cancels for reasons other than weather or safety concerns, they will bear the Transaction Fee.

Additional Circumstances:

• Weather and Safety: In cases where cancellations are due to weather or other safety concerns, WetRentals will facilitate discussions between the Renter and the Host to reschedule or process a refund as deemed appropriate, prioritizing the safety of all parties involved.
• Unexpected Circumstances: If either party faces unexpected circumstances preventing the rental, we encourage immediate communication through our platform. WetRentals will mediate to find a fair resolution, considering the unique nature of the situation.

Refunds for Partial Cancellations: In scenarios where the rental is partially completed or altered due to unforeseeable circumstances, WetRentals will work with both parties to determine a fair and proportional refund or credit towards future rentals.

Final Notes: Our goal is to ensure a transparent, fair, and enjoyable rental experience for both Renters and Hosts. We encourage all parties to communicate openly and promptly to avoid any misunderstandings and ensure a smooth rental process.
