Experience the beauty of the Weeki Wachee River on a 2-hour guided boat adventure that offers a chance to observe wild manatees in their natural habitat. Our Guardian Guides, certified by Save the Manatees Club, provide educational insights about these gentle giants while promoting responsible ecotourism. A portion of each reservation is donated to manatee conservation, making this trip not only memorable but also impactful. The tour begins at 8092 Mary’s Fish Camp Road in Springhill, Florida, and is suitable for beginner and first-time paddlers. While the current of the river during manatee season requires an intermediate level of physicality for paddling against the current, the return trip is easier. As you paddle through a mix of wild and urban landscapes, be on the lookout for various species of animals, including birds, turtles, fish, otters, and occasionally dolphins. Reservations are required for all tours, which depart from Mary's Fish Camp, a short distance from Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Furry friends are not permitted during manatee season, and alcohol and smoking are also prohibited. Each kayak has a weight limit of 250 pounds for one paddler or 425 pounds for two paddlers. While manatee sightings are not guaranteed, our guides will do their best to take you to areas where these majestic creatures are most active.
