The 50/50 Shell Key Kayak Tour offers a unique adventure that combines kayaking and nature exploration in the 1880 acres of Shell Key Preserve. Led by expert guides and owners, Scott & Karissa, participants have the opportunity to navigate through mangrove tunnels, spot dolphins, manatees, and other wildlife, and explore the island of Shell Key for activities such as shelling, swimming, and snorkeling. The tour is suitable for all skill levels, with stable sit-inside recreational touring kayaks provided for a comfortable experience. Participants are advised to bring water, sunscreen, protective clothing, a towel, sunglasses, and a Ziploc bag to keep personal items and phones dry during the tour. The company's weather policy ensures that outdoor activities are always subject to weather conditions, with notifications given in case of tour changes or cancellations. The tour takes place in a shallow saltwater preserve, with no alligators present and most of the water being knee to waist-deep, making it suitable for children aged 3 and older.
