Stand Up Paddling (SUP) is a popular water sport that is rapidly growing in popularity, with Waikīkī being an ideal location to learn due to its perfect conditions. This beginner SUP lesson is designed for groups of 4 or 5 people and covers essential skills such as balancing, paddling, and turning on a stand-up paddle board. Participants may even have the chance to spot turtles while paddling over the reef, adding to the excitement of the experience. The SUP lessons are 1.25 hours in duration and are conducted multiple times daily at convenient time slots. All Waikīkī Beachboys leading the lessons are certified lifeguards and hold CPR certification, ensuring the safety of all participants. It is important to note that participants must be able to swim, and those under the age of 13 are not permitted to take part in the lessons for safety reasons. Participants in the SUP lessons will receive 15 minutes of safety briefings on the sand before hitting the water, with all necessary surfing equipment provided including a rash guard. The instructors, who are licensed by the state of Hawaiʻi, are well-trained in CPR and other life-saving techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
