The Pelican ferry service offers a unique and relaxing 4-hour boat adventure from downtown St. Pete to Egmont Key. Passengers can enjoy a scenic 60-minute ride along the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, passing under the iconic Sunshine Skyway bridge, with the possibility of spotting dolphins along the way. Upon arrival at Egmont Key, guests will have approximately 2 hours to explore the pristine beaches, historic lighthouse, ruins of Ft. Dade, and observe the amazing wildlife before heading back on the return trip. The Pelican is a 60-foot, 49-passenger boat that provides a comfortable and enjoyable journey to and from Egmont Key. Passengers should be prepared to step into shallow water when disembarking on the island, so bringing appropriate footwear is recommended. Food and beverages, including wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, are available for purchase on the boat, but outside alcohol is not permitted. Guests are advised to bring sunscreen (avoiding spray application while on the boat), towels, and bathing suits to fully enjoy the beach experience on Egmont Key.
