The Hawai'i Wildlife Discovery Center is a nonprofit organization located in Whalers Village, Maui's iconic shopping center in Ka'anapali Beach Resort. With over 30 exhibits featuring native marine life, conservation efforts, and Hawaiian cultural values, the Center offers a unique and interactive experience for visitors. Visitors can pay what they wish to support the important conservation work of the Center, which is open every day from 10:00am to 8:00pm. A visit typically takes about 60-90 minutes, with a suggested final entry time of 7:00pm. The Center also features an Immersive Experience with a six-minute video displayed on three walls, showcasing the sounds of ocean wildlife and waves rushing to shore. In addition to the exhibits, the Center offers a Kids Zone where children can learn about marine debris and create art using pieces of debris. The HWDC Shop, owned and operated by Sea Maui, features a variety of locally sourced and sustainable products, including logo wear, jewelry, photos, paintings, prints, books, and more.
