To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, guests are advised to bring essential items such as a swimsuit (to be worn before departure), a change of clothes, towels, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and a warm long-sleeve jacket or sweatshirt. Motion sickness medicine is recommended for those prone to seasickness, with the most effective results when taken at least an hour before the tour. The tropical climate in the area can lead to sudden weather changes, and the open ocean conditions may not always be ideal. Located 4.5 miles south of the Kona Airport and 3.5 miles north of Kailua Kona, the tour departs from Honokohau Harbor. Upon arrival, guests can check in near the Pavilion/Restrooms area, where they will meet with the crew members before boarding the boat.
