Embark on a full-day adventure to see the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi River and Tennessee's largest show cave, including an underground waterfall. The tour includes a visit to Cumberland Caverns, which boasts 27+ miles of underground passageways, rock formations, waterfalls, and pools. Participants will hike 1.5 miles underground, learning about the cave's geology and wildlife while viewing impressive stalagmites, stalactites, and flowstone formations. The trek includes traversing over 350 natural stone steps to reach the largest room in the cave with a stunning lightshow. After exploring Cumberland Caverns, the tour continues to Fall Creek Falls, the tallest free-flowing waterfall in the Eastern U.S. Participants will enjoy a short, easy walk to observe the 256-foot waterfall, as well as Coon Creek Falls which drops an impressive 250 feet. A picnic-style lunch is provided, and the day concludes with a visit to "The Village" featuring a gift shop, general store, and ice cream shop/cafe. The tour does not include the strenuous hike to the base of Fall Creek Falls. Included in the tour are roundtrip ground transportation from Nashville, lite snacks, bottled water, lunch, professional guides, park fees, and transportation within the parks. Rain ponchos are provided as needed. Participants are advised to bring personal snacks, sturdy closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, hats, and optional gratuities. The tour is not wheelchair accessible and travelers should have at least a moderate physical fitness level, with restrictions for travelers with back, heart, or serious medical conditions.
