Join us from Lisbon on this boat adventure through the Atlantic highway, to experience an unforgettable journey to the Berlenga Islands with breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear waters. Departing in our van or private car, we will reach Peniche after about 1 hour, where we will board our boat to sail across the ocean to the Berlengas Islands. After a 40-minute ride on a beautiful new catamaran, we will arrive at Berlenga Grande for an unforgettable experience on the crystal-clear waters of the archipelago. The Berlengas Archipelago is located 16 km west of Peniche and is a mighty granite block territory belonging to the parish of São Pedro in the municipality of Peniche. The main island, Berlenga, represents more than two-thirds of the total surface area, while the other part, Ilha Velha, is separated from the rest of the island by sea erosion. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2011, the Berlengas Archipelago is a protected area that integrates natural reserves managed by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF). Upon landing on the island, we will have the opportunity to relax on a small but beautiful beach for swimming, explore caves by boat, visit the lighthouse and the Castle of St. John the Baptist, and even rent snorkeling equipment for underwater exploration. After about 4 hours on the island, we will return to Peniche by catamaran, where we will enjoy a brief tasting of local products before heading to the medieval village of Obidos for a stroll along the city walls.
