Experience the ultimate adventure by joining an early morning hike to Kjerag and beat the crowds. Starting with a relaxing cruise at Lysefjord, you can enjoy the stunning landscapes of Pulpit Rock and Kjerag from sea level. The hike covers a distance of 4.5 km each way, with a duration of 13 hours and a moderate to difficult level. With a lowest point of 270 m and a highest point of 604 m above sea level, the trail offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. The trail is well signposted with red T's and cairns providing guidance in areas where indicators are lacking. Hikers are advised to wear suitable clothing and shoes for the terrain, with hiking boots strongly encouraged for safety. Participants are responsible for carrying their own gear, so a suitable backpack is recommended. Water sources along the trail provide opportunities to stay hydrated, and bringing your own lunch is recommended as it will not be provided. The proposed standard schedule for the adventure includes a 05:00 AM pickup from Stavanger and a 2.5-hour transport to the trailhead. Upon reaching the Kjerag plateau, hikers can enjoy the breathtaking views, nature, and possibly observe BASE jumpers diving from cliffs. After spending time at the plateau, hikers will head back and are expected to arrive in Stavanger around 04:00 PM.
