Adventure Details

The Carmelite Route is a spiritual journey in the center of Portugal, following the life of Sister Lúcia, one of the child shepherds of Fátima. Participants meet in Coimbra and travel by car to Penedo da Saudade in Carmelo de Santa Teresa, where the cycling adventure begins. The first stage covers 50 kilometers through rural landscapes and remote villages, offering a peaceful and scenic experience. After an overnight stay at a hotel with dinner, the second stage of the journey covers 62 kilometers, taking participants through beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings. The route ends in Fátima, where participants will be transferred back to Coimbra. The package includes hotel accommodation with breakfast and dinner, luggage transport, trip briefing, GPS tracks, and 24-hour support line, among other amenities. Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable clothes, sunscreen, and a camera for the journey. The trip is available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with the option to rent an E-bike for an additional fee.
