The Game of Thrones Tour from Belfast offers a unique opportunity to visit iconic filming locations from the popular TV series, as well as other gems of Northern Ireland. Lasting 9.5 hours, the tour is highly recommended on Trip Advisor and includes stops at Carrickfergus Castle, the Giant's Causeway, and the Dark Hedges, among other locations. Your local guide, a fan of both the books and TV series, will provide insight into the series and share tales of legend and local history. During the tour, you will have the chance to visit locations such as Carnlough, where Arya Stark was featured in Series 6, and the caves where Melisandre gave birth to her 'shadow assassin'. The tour also includes a photo stop at the Kings' Road, where Arya Stark escaped from King's Landing, and a visit to Dunluce Castle, which was used as the exterior of the House of Greyjoy on the show. Lunch will be provided at a pub in Ballymoney, or you can bring your own lunch. The tour concludes with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Giant's Causeway, where you will have approximately 1 ½ hours to explore. Along the way, you will learn about the HBO series, characters, filming, and local history from your Maester guide, and enjoy a Game of Thrones quiz on the tour bus. Costumes and props will also be provided for photo opportunities. Please note that there is walking involved in the tour, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility problems.
