Embark on a 5-hour boat adventure along the ocean shore of Shackleford Banks with the hopes of spotting the famous wild Shackleford horses. Led by Captain Mark, you will first travel to The Cape Lookout Bight and then onto the iconic Cape Lookout Lighthouse. Experience the thrill of being on "The Outside" as you take in the breathtaking views and maybe even spot a pod of bottle-nosed dolphins. The Cape Lookout Lighthouse, standing at 163 feet high, is a must-see landmark located on the most southern point of The Outer Banks. With its unique flashing pattern visible for miles out to sea, this lighthouse offers a glimpse into maritime history. Explore the Lighthouse Keepers quarters turned museum before heading back to the protected waters of Back Sound to visit Harkers Island, Beaufort, Morehead City waterfronts, and the Rachel Carson Preserve. If the ocean conditions are unfavorable, the excursion will be redirected to the protected waters. Military discounts are available for qualifying individuals with ID required at check-in.
