The American Bicycle Rental Company & FreeWheelin' Bike Tours offer safe and convenient indoor bike rentals in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Rental cost includes one bike per rider, with cruiser bikes equipped with a lock, helmet, bell, and handlebar bag, while road bikes come with additional features such as a water bottle holder. Riders must adhere to all traffic laws, be at least 12 years old and 5 feet tall, and sign a waiver before participating in the activity. The company reserves the right to deny services to anyone for any reason, including those suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In addition to bike rentals, the company offers additional items for rent or purchase, such as bottled water, smartphone holders, quality lights for night riding, and custom city biking maps with route information and points of interest. Two different self-guided tour maps are available for purchase, with one focusing on the 'Creole' side of town before the Americans arrived and the other on the post-1803 'American Sector' or 'Garden District.' These maps provide detailed directions and recommendations for exploring different areas of New Orleans. Rescheduling, refunds, and gift card issuance are at the company's discretion, and no refunds or reschedules are offered once the rental reservation time has passed. Riders are required to pick up and return their bikes at the shop in the French Quarter and must present a photo ID and credit card for rental. Debit cards and pre-paid cards are not accepted, and riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and wear a helmet. Damage Deposit
Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental. This damage deposit secures the host if the boat is damaged during your rental. The damage deposit must be taken from the same card that the booking was made on. Questions?
