Sail Folly offers daily boat adventures departing from Folly River boat landing at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. During the two-hour sail on the Stiletto 27 catamaran or 20 ft center console power boat, guests can spot dolphin, pelicans, and other wildlife while learning about Charleston's maritime history. Guests are encouraged to bring sunscreen, beverages, and swimwear for the chance to stop for a swim or shell on nearby isolated islands. The experienced captain provides narration on the tour, sharing stories about colonial times, the Civil War, and piracy in the low country. With the opportunity to sail down the Folly River, past the beach, or up Folly Creek, guests can explore the diverse wildlife and shrimp boats in the area. The captain can adjust the narration based on guests' preferences, making for a personalized and informative experience. The catamaran and power boat offer a stable and safe sailing experience, allowing guests to enjoy the sights without worrying about tipping over.
