The PADI Advanced Mermaid Course is a 4+ hour adventure that takes you to a maximum depth of 33 feet (10 meters). Whether you are looking to pursue a career as a professional mermaid or simply want to explore deeper waters for fun, this course offers a challenging and enjoyable experience. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and knowledge to be a safe and responsible mermaid buddy, as well as the option to pursue a career as a professional mermaid entertainer. When preparing for the adventure, be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, water bottle, and appropriate sun protection such as sunscreen, a long sleeve shirt, and a wetsuit top. It is important to use reef-safe sunscreen to protect our oceans and marine life. If your sunscreen is not reef-safe, consider wearing a long sleeve shirt instead and apply sunscreen at least half an hour before arriving to ensure it is absorbed into your skin rather than the ocean. Reef-safe sunscreen is available for purchase at the dive center. During the course, all necessary equipment such as a mask, snorkel, mermaid tail, monofin, weight belt, and weights will be provided. You can expect two full days of lessons, each lasting about 6 hours, where you will learn essential skills and techniques to become a proficient and confident mermaid.
