Adventure Details
Embark on a 10-hour boat adventure with approximately 6-7 hours of fishing time, cruising out 15-25 miles to fish at depths of 60-100 feet. The captain will strategically choose fishing spots based on where the fish are most active, providing you with the best opportunity for a successful catch. Targeted fish may include Red grouper, gag grouper, snapper, porgies, sea bass, hogfish, and more. Cut bait is provided on board at no extra charge, including sardines and squid. Live bait options, such as pinfish and shrimp, are available for an additional fee. Advanced anglers may opt for live shrimp for a better chance at landing keeper grouper, mangrove snapper, and other prized catches. A pre-boarding seminar will cover recommended live bait options for the day and there is a communal live bait well on board for convenience. Recommended tackle includes 60-80 lb. test line, 6 oz. sinker, and 6/0 or 7/0 hook for big fish like Grouper, while 40-50 lb. test line, 4 oz. sinker, and 4/0 or 5/0 hook are suggested for smaller fish like Snapper and Hogfish. For bigger grouper, a 6ot reel with 60lb mainline is recommended, while a 4000-5000 series spinning reel works well for smaller snapper and hogfish.
