These kayaks, known as "duckies," provide a more personal experience on the river as you navigate your own boat while following guides down the river. With single and double passenger options available, it's a great activity for families and friends to enjoy together. The river provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow, making it suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Our guided trips on the Upper Colorado River start at our Rancho Del Rio boathouse, where you will gear up and meet your guides before heading to the put-in location. The trip includes all necessary safety and rafting equipment, transportation to the starting point, and a fun-filled experience on the river with rapids and swimming holes. Whether you're a first-time rafter or an experienced paddler, our guides will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the water. For those looking to participate in rafting, SUPing, or kayaking in Colorado, it's important to come prepared with appropriate gear such as quick-drying clothing, secure footwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a change of dry clothes. All participants must acknowledge the risks involved in outdoor activities by signing a liability waiver before departure. Our guides are trained to recognize altitude sickness symptoms and it's recommended to stay hydrated, eat well, and get enough rest before embarking on your adventure. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
