Experience the beauty of New York City from a unique perspective on a two-hour sail aboard the Adirondack, an 80-foot wooden pilot schooner inspired by the vessels of the 1890s. This family-friendly adventure offers stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge, all while sailing past iconic landmarks such as One World Trade Center. Passengers can enjoy a complimentary beer, wine, Champagne, or soft drink, with additional beverages available for purchase. The sail begins at Chelsea Piers and heads south down the Hudson River to Battery Park, passing by Ellis Island before sailing out to the Statue of Liberty. The engines are shut off as much as possible during the trip to provide an authentic sailing experience. In the event that the Schooner Adirondack is not available, passengers can opt for the Schooner America 2.0 Day Sail as an alternative. Food is not included on the excursion, but guests are welcome to bring a simple light snack. Classic Harbor Line, the operator of the Schooner Adirondack, is dedicated to providing guests with an exceptional sailing experience while promoting environmentally conscious practices. The company partners with Cup Zero to reduce single-use plastics and offers a range of policies regarding refunds, rescheduling, and cancellations.
