Adventure Details
Participants in the boat adventure clinic will spend approximately three to four hours in their boat, focusing on learning how to roll or perfecting their technique for moving water and whitewater situations. The clinic is designed for novice to intermediate paddlers, with a minimum age requirement of 14. Instructors will teach the roll that works best for each individual, with a low student-to-instructor ratio ensuring personalized attention and a flexible teaching method accommodating different body types. The clinic will cover a warm-up review of paddling skills, followed by teaching the C-to-C and/or modified sweep roll techniques in flatwater. Depending on the group's level and desires, the clinic may move to the river for practicing rolling in real river situations. Participants are required to wear secure shoes, and are advised to avoid cotton clothing as it will keep them cold and wet. Zoar Outdoor will provide paddling gear such as wetsuits, life jackets, helmets, and lunch for full-day clinics.
