Experience a thrilling boat adventure on the North Coast of São Miguel island with a whale watching tour dedicated to observing the abundant marine wildlife. From the privileged location in Mosteiros, visitors can witness more than 25 cetacean species, including resident sperm whales, as they thrive in the private waters of the North coast. The tour also offers the opportunity to pass by iconic islets and admire the stunning coastline of the bay. Upon arrival at the office in Mosteiros fishing port, guests will receive a life jacket, waterproof light jacket if necessary, and a briefing from a guide and biologist about the wildlife and safety procedures. The tour includes informative sessions about the sighted animals, shared photos whenever possible, and a journey to the positions provided by a whale spotter on land. Upon returning to the office, additional information about the animals spotted during the trip will be shared with the guests. To make the most of the whale watching adventure, it is recommended to bring water, comfortable clothes suitable for the season, jackets, identifications, and a camera to capture the amazing sights. While sightings of cetaceans are not guaranteed due to the animals roaming in their natural habitat in the Atlantic ocean, the tour promises an unforgettable experience surrounded by the wonders of the sea.
