Adventure Details
The ACA Skill Assessment course is a 6-8 hour adventure designed to evaluate a participant’s ability to perform all essential skills required for paddling. Participants have the opportunity to receive documentation of achieving ACA's Level 2 paddling ability, showcasing their proficiency on the water. The course is ideal for those looking to improve their skills and knowledge in a controlled and supportive environment. Included in the course is a kayak, paddle, and PFD for participants to use free of charge, making it easier for beginners to get started without having to invest in equipment right away. For those who already own a kayak, it is recommended to bring your own to get used to it, though instructors may require the use of provided kayaks if safety concerns arise. Dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing sun protection and drinking water are essential for a comfortable and safe experience on the water. Participants are encouraged to dress according to the weather and be prepared for complete immersion in rescue classes. Bringing extra layers in cold weather, sun protection, and drinking water are important for a successful outing. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
