Duke's Surf School offers beginner group lessons with up to six students per class, providing a personalized and interactive learning experience. The two-hour lesson covers the basics of surfing, allowing students to learn alongside other beginners and potentially make new friends. All instructors are ISA and USLA certified, ensuring a safe and enjoyable surfing experience for all participants. Participants in the beginner group lessons at Duke's Surf School receive all necessary equipment for their surfing lesson, including a surfboard with fins and leash, rash guard, and wax. While reef shoes are not provided, they are recommended for surfing over reefs. The instructors introduce students to the equipment and ocean conditions, teach surf awareness and safety, demonstrate exercises on the shore, and guide students through applying their knowledge in the water. The comprehensive surfing lessons at Duke's Surf School include instruction on recognizing ideal atmospheric conditions for surfing, surf etiquette and safety protocols, and practical exercises for paddling, pushing through waves, and standing up on the board.
