Waikīkī Beach Services offers a traditional burial at sea service aboard their outrigger canoe, allowing loved ones to scatter ashes in the open ocean off Waikīkī. The experience, lasting up to one hour, provides a peaceful and beautiful setting under the shadow of Diamond Head. Guests can choose to say a prayer, sing a song, or simply reflect in silence as they bid farewell with "aloha". At the end of each ceremony, the crew honors the deceased with "the last wave" by catching and surfing a wave back to shore in true Waikīkī Beachboy tradition. For those interested in participating in the burial at sea service, it is important to note that there is a maximum limit of 6 people per canoe. Photography services are provided and will take 1-2 days to process, allowing guests to capture and cherish the moment. While flowers and leis are not provided, guests are welcome to bring their own or find vendors listed on the FAQs page. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that can get wet and to avoid bringing valuables. Parking is available at The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center for a fee, with other options listed on the FAQs page. Safety is a top priority for Waikīkī Beach Services, and in cases of large surf or unpredictable ocean conditions, there may be a need to cancel or reschedule bookings. Guests will be given as much notice as possible in such situations to ensure everyone's well-being. Damage Deposit
Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental. This damage deposit secures the host if the boat is damaged during your rental. The damage deposit must be taken from the same card that the booking was made on. Questions?
