Walk the gentle 2.3-mile round trip hike to Byron Glacier, surrounded by towering peaks and a tranquil glaciated valley. Marvel at the blue ice glacier and enjoy a picnic in the midst of breathtaking vistas. Then, head to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center for up-close encounters with majestic bears and graceful eagles, capturing the essence of Alaska's wildlife. Operating year-round, this tour offers a unique experience in all seasons. Suitable for all abilities and skill levels, this adventure is perfect for families, friends, and couples. The Byron Glacier Trail is generally easy to walk on, with little elevation gain. In the winter, the trail is packed down for easier walking. Guests should be able to walk 2.3 miles comfortably, carrying a 5-10 pound backpack. Microspikes are provided as needed. Join us on this unforgettable journey from 8am-2pm, starting with check-in at 7:45 am at our headquarters. Immerse yourself in the serenity of Byron Glacier, with stunning panoramic views and the mesmerizing sight of the glacier hanging at the end of the valley. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
