The Bairrada region is renowned for producing high-quality wines, particularly sparkling wines, due to its cool, humid climate and strong maritime influence. Guests will have the opportunity to cycle through vineyards, experience the "terroir", and interact with local grape producers on this guided bike tour. The tour begins with a pickup in Coimbra, where participants will be transported by van with bikes to Curia, the headquarters of Rota da Bairrada. From there, guests will embark on a 52-kilometer circular bike route of intermediate difficulty, exploring the surrounding wine estates and enjoying the picturesque scenery. Along the way, there will be a visit to a traditional winery for wine and sparkling wine tastings, followed by a lunch of Leitão Assado à Bairrada at a local restaurant. The tour will then continue to another winery for more tastings before returning to Coimbra. Included in the tour are transportation with air conditioning, all taxes, fees, and insurance, entrances to 2 wineries, bottled water, a typical lunch of Leitão à Bairrada, wine tastings, and a guide.
