Join us for a boat adventure on the water that includes a 6-hour excursion focused on practicing COB drills in moderate wind conditions. Participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and wear masks on the boat and in the marina as required by the captain. This workshop goes beyond the basics of cruising and includes hands-on practice of retrieving a target using traditional maneuvers such as the Figure Eight and LifeSling recovery technique. During the 6-hour excursion, participants will learn and practice essential skills for sailboat safety, including COB drills to simulate someone falling off the boat. The workshop will provide valuable experience in retrieving a target in moderate wind conditions, with a focus on the Figure Eight and LifeSling recovery techniques. Participants will spend approximately four to five hours underway, with additional time for dockside discussions and debriefing. This boat adventure offers a unique opportunity to enhance your sailing skills and safety knowledge in a hands-on environment. By participating in COB drills and practicing maneuvering techniques in moderate wind conditions, participants will gain valuable experience beyond what is typically covered in basic cruising classes.
