Mertailor’s Mermaid Aquarium Encounter offers a unique opportunity for certified mermaids, mermen, and merpersons to swim in a specially built tank filled with marine life, decorations, and a glass wall for performances. Participants will have the chance to don a Whimsy Mermaid Tail and Fantasea Fin, with guidance from expert mermaids and a trained safety diver. The experience includes up to 30 minutes of tank time to interact with tropical marine fish, stingrays, and sharks. Participants must complete required forms and meet certification requirements, such as having a mermaid or free dive certification through organizations like PADI, SSI, or NAUI. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian present, and all participants must be comfortable in and around water. Guests are provided with necessary equipment, but may not bring their own to prevent tank contamination. Safety and cleanliness are a top priority, with showering facilities available before and after the swim. Advanced reservations are required for Mertailor’s Mermaid Aquarium Encounter, with no walk-ins available. The experience lasts approximately 60-90 minutes and costs $175 per participant, including aquarium admission. Participants should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out waivers, and latecomers will not be able to participate. Changes to reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance to avoid additional fees, and cancellations will not be refunded or rescheduled.
