Join us for a leisurely 2-hour sea kayaking adventure perfect for families with younger children. Our tour allows plenty of time for wildlife-spotting, kayak skill-building, and paddling fun. Children 7 and older are welcome to join, with those under 12 paddling in a tandem kayak with an adult. Highlights of the tour include picturesque views of Portland and its surrounding islands, possible sightings of seals, eider ducks, guillemots, osprey, eagles, and other seabirds. The slow to moderate-paced kayaking is suitable for novices, with the possibility of getting slightly damp or wet from splashing during the paddle. Included in the tour are stable and swift double sea kayaks, or solo kayaks upon request. An expert kayak guide will provide a brief lesson on the basics of sea kayaking.
