Captain Dustin Harrison offers half day and full day fly fishing charters and light-tackle inshore fishing experiences in St. John, Virgin Islands. With over 10 years of experience as a guide and captain, he specializes in targeting bonefish and tarpon on the fly, but other species such as snook, jacks, bonita, barracudas, and sharks can also be caught. Guests can bring their own fly rods or use top-quality equipment provided by the captain. Rates for chartering the boat start at $500 for a half day and $700 for a full day, with a maximum capacity of two adult passengers or three passengers if at least one is a child. Half day charters typically run from 7am to 11am or 2pm to 6pm, while full day charters span from 7am to 3pm. The decision between a half day or full day charter is up to the guest, but a full day offers more opportunities for catching fish and targeting multiple species. All charters include necessary tackle, bottled water, ice, fuel, and more. Guests are advised to bring polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and to practice their casting skills before the trip, especially if they are new to saltwater fly fishing. Captain Dustin and his team are happy to assist with casting, but prior practice can lead to a more successful fishing experience in the beautiful waters of St. John.
