Important sunrise information is provided, as access to the park for sunrise requires a reservation with the Park Service. The climb to the top of the destination is breathtaking, with unobstructed views from the Slingshot vehicle. The Slingshot is a cornering machine that makes the 10,000-foot vertical climb and long sweeping corners a blast to drive. Equipped with a bumping Fosgate stereo system and plenty of lockable storage, the Slingshot is both fun and safe. The fully integrated navigation system allows for a leisurely exploration of all the best sites during the 8-hour journey to the top of Haleakala.
