This 1-Day Clinic is designed for advanced beginner to intermediate kayakers who have completed a Beginner Whitewater Kayak Course. The clinic includes all necessary equipment, instruction from ACA certified instructors, a catered picnic-style lunch, and transportation to and from the paddling sites. The duration of the clinic is from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily, providing a full day of learning and adventure. Participants in the clinic will focus on sharpening fundamental river skills such as edging, setting angles, and performing eddy turns and peel outs. The goal is to teach foundational skills of river kayaking in whitewater kayaks and to continue progressing skills beyond the introductory level. The clinic is perfect for those who have tried whitewater kayaking and want to build on their basic skills in a fun and safe environment. Clothing and gear recommendations are provided, with an emphasis on being prepared for cool river temperatures regardless of the time of year. Zoar Outdoor will provide all necessary kayaking equipment, including a boat, wetsuit, life jacket, and paddle. Participants can also enjoy a catered picnic-style lunch during the clinic.
