This 2-day whitewater kayaking clinic is designed for advanced beginner to intermediate paddlers who have completed a beginner whitewater kayak course. The clinic includes all necessary equipment, instruction from ACA certified instructors, catered picnic-style lunches, and transportation to and from the paddling sites. The duration of the clinic is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, providing a comprehensive introduction to the sport of kayaking. Participants in the clinic will focus on sharpening fundamental river skills such as edging, setting angles, and performing eddy turns and peel outs. The clinic emphasizes a strengths-based learning approach, making kayaking an enjoyable adventure from the start. The goal is to teach foundational skills of river kayaking in whitewater kayaks and continue progressing skills beyond the introductory level. The clinic is ideal for individuals who have tried whitewater kayaking and want to build on basic foundational skills. Participants should come prepared with appropriate clothing and gear, including synthetic long underwear, fleece or wool socks, a bathing suit, and a fleece or wool jacket/sweater. Other recommended items to bring include sunscreen, sunglasses, nose plugs, a towel, required medications, and extra money for snacks or souvenirs. Zoar Outdoor provides all necessary kayaking equipment, including a boat, wetsuit, paddle jacket, booties, life jacket, helmet, paddle, and sprayskirt. Additionally, a catered picnic-style lunch is provided at all clinics.
Damage Deposit
Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental. This damage deposit secures the host if the boat is damaged during your rental. The damage deposit must be taken from the same card that the booking was made on. Questions?
