Experience the unique adventure of "Illuminated Night Kayaking" departing from Marriott's Frenchman's Cove and now also accepting bookings from The Westin Beach Resort & Spa at Frenchman's Reef. This nighttime kayaking tour allows guests to explore nature in a completely different way, paddling out into the moonlit waters as the stars shine above and historical Charlotte Amalie lights up in the distance. Guests may even encounter marine life such as Green Sea Turtles, tarpon, and stingrays in their natural habitat. St. Thomas Water Sports provides kayaks that serve as "windows to the sea," with crystal clear hulls allowing riders to observe underwater creatures with the help of powerful LED lights. The 'Caribe' kayak, a combination of sit-on-top and canoe, offers a unique perspective of the underwater world during the twilight paddle. Evening tours are available at 6:30pm, 8pm, and 9:15pm, with guests required to arrive 45 minutes prior to departure time. It is important to inform the tour operators if the combined weight of guests approaches 450 lbs per kayak. Guests can enjoy a 1 hour and 15-minute kayaking adventure under the twinkling stars and city lights, immersing themselves in the beauty of the night. Masks and facial coverings are optional, and guides appreciate tips for their services. Visitors arriving by taxi can go directly to the dock, while those with private vehicles must stop at the security gate check point before proceeding to the designated parking area.
