Experience the thrill of navigating Class III/IV rapids on a special trip down the Lower Gauley River, a rare opportunity that only occurs a few weeks each year. With rates starting at $150 per person for groups of 4-12, this 6-hour adventure includes a catered lunch break on the river and is suitable for ages 11 and up. First responders can enjoy a 50% discount and trips booked Monday-Thursday receive a 20% off discount. Upon arrival at BaseCamp, guests will meet their Trip Leader and Guide, receive necessary equipment such as paddles, PFDs, and helmets, and undergo safety instructions before boarding the bus to the river. Throughout the day, experienced guides will lead groups through exciting rapids while sharing the rich history of the area, including stories of Native Americans, Civil War battles, and the creation of Summersville Dam. Halfway through the trip, guests will enjoy a buffet lunch by the riverbank with options to accommodate dietary needs. After refueling, guests will continue their adventure through the scenic countryside before returning to BaseCamp by 5 PM. This unforgettable experience includes fantastic whitewater fun, expert guides, and historical landmarks for a day filled with excitement and exploration. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
