Bottled water and snacks are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or purchase snacks along the way. Participants must be at least 8 years old to join the glacier hike, and parents or guardians are required to sign a liability release for minors. The tour is rated as moderate in terms of activity level, requiring walking on a slippery and uneven surface. Dressing in layers is recommended, as summer temperatures can range from 45 to 80 F (7 - 27 C). Light hiking boots or sneakers are suitable for footwear, but flip flops or sandals are not permitted.
