Embark on a full-day adventure to explore some of the tallest waterfalls in the Cumberland Plateau region of middle Tennessee. The journey includes a 4-5 mile hike to visit Fall Creek Falls, the tallest free-falling waterfall in the eastern United States at 256 feet, along with 4 other impressive waterfalls within the state park. The tour also includes crossing a suspended swinging bridge, climbing steep concrete steps, and descending over 300 feet into a massive gorge to the base of Fall Creek Falls. This challenging adventure is classified as strenuous to very strenuous, with a duration of 8-10 hours. Participants will need to have at least a moderate physical fitness level and be prepared for rocky, steep, and slippery terrain. The tour includes roundtrip ground transportation from Nashville, lite snacks, guided hiking tour, loaner trekking poles and backpack, and the possibility of enjoying a swimming hole (weather and time permitting). Lunch at the Snackbar Café is also included, subject to its operating schedule and menu availability. Travelers are advised to bring suitable attire, sunscreen, hats, and optional gratuities. The tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not recommended for travelers with back problems, heart problems, serious medical conditions, or who are pregnant. Participants must be in good physical condition and able to climb over downed trees, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb in elevation. In case of bad weather, the tour may switch to the Cumberland Caverns & Fall Creek Falls - Combo Tour.
