Waikīkī offers ideal conditions for stand up paddling, making it one of the best places to learn this fast-growing water sport. The lessons provided include both beginner and advanced levels, catering to those new to the sport as well as those looking to improve their skills. Beginner lessons cover the basics of balancing, paddling, and turning on a stand-up paddleboard, with the opportunity to spot marine life such as turtles while out on the water. Advanced lessons focus on wave catching and surfing techniques, led by certified and experienced instructors licensed by the state of Hawaiʻi. Lessons are available daily at multiple times throughout the day to accommodate different schedules. Participants must be able to swim, and those under 13 years old are not permitted for safety reasons. Each lesson lasts 1.25 hours, including 15 minutes of safety briefing on land. All necessary equipment, including rash guards, is provided for participants.
