From beginner to advanced levels, participants will learn advanced techniques to handle stressful surf situations, remain calm in oxygen-deprived wave hold-downs, and improve underwater movement and breathing techniques. Safety skills such as rescue response techniques are also covered to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. This course is beneficial for anyone looking to increase their breath-hold capacity and confidence in challenging surf conditions. Whether facing larger sets or unexpected hold-downs, participants will learn to overcome fear, improve competence, and enhance awareness to become more skilled in the water. Even non-surfers can benefit from the specific breathing and mental focus techniques taught in the course to remain calm in stressful situations. The Surf Survival Course is divided into three sections: theory, guided land-based training, and realistic water training exercises with a focus on rescue procedures. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and practical skills to enhance their breath-hold abilities, increase safety awareness, and improve overall confidence in challenging surf environments.
